Tomb Raider origin title in the works

A new Tomb Raider by developer Crystal Dynamics is currently in development. It is cited as an origin story for Lara Croft.

"Forget everything you knew about TOMB RAIDER," said Darrell Gallagher, Head of Studio, Crystal Dynamics. "This is an origins story that creates Lara Croft and takes her on a character defining journey like no other."

This new title, according to Darrel Gallagher, will be a survival adventure about a young and inexperienced Lara Croft that explores the roots of one of the most famous videogame heroines in videogame history.

Now that's interesting! I'll have to hunt out the Press Release and see if there's anything else been revealed about it. Cheers for the news Unreal.

I wonder if this fit's in with Crystal's Legend/Aniversery/Underworld story, or if it's a new new reboot. Still could be good and I'm a sucker for Tomb Raider games so this is something I'll look out for. Hopefully survival adventure meeens less shooty shooty and more exploration and puzzles.
